Dolomites tour
Road bike tour in the Dolomites
You start your challenging tour in Kurtinig and then cycle via Neumarkt and Montan to the San Lugano Pass, at an altitude of 1,100 metres. You will have to overcome a constant gradient of 5-10%. The route continues to Cavalese, Vigo di Fassa and Canazei, a junction of the Dolomite passes. Here you have two options: a) left up to the Sella Pass (2180 m) and down into Val Gardena with a fantastic view of the Dolomites, which have been a World Heritage Site since 2009, or b) right up to the Pordoi Pass (2240 m), the second highest mountain pass in the Dolomites with a continuous tarmac road. The route then descends to Arabba (1600 m) and turns left again up to the Campolongo Pass (1875 m), from where you reach Corvara (1555 m). Continue left up to the Gardena Pass (2120 m) and back down into the Gardena Valley, famous for its wood carvings. The last part of our route takes us via Ortisei, the Panieder Sattel, Castelrotto, Siusi, Fiè and Bolzano along the beautiful Adige Valley cycle path or on the normal road to Laives, where we then return to Cortina/Kurtinig in comfort via Branzoll, Ora/Auer and Egna/Neumarkt.
